The manifestation of Vergil's demonic side, Urizen easily defeats Dante and shatters the Rebellion. This is when the Demon King Urizen appears. In addition to Dante fully accepting his heritage and the power of his father, the transformed Sparda is also a physical manifestation of an unspoken promise Dante makes with his brother to defeat Mundus - the Prince of Darkness who managed to kill most of Dante's family.īy the events of Devil May Cry 5, Dante has grown as strong as Sparda in his prime. Both blades are then held together by organic material which allows the Sparda to transform according to the wielder's needs ( Dante turns the Sparda into a scythe when performing his Round Trip move and a spear when executing a Stinger attack). It adds a large, curved blade on one side of the Force Edge, and its blade becomes a spine that connects to the Sparda's blade. The Devil Sword Sparda looks almost nothing like a sword. After defeating Nelo Angelo and setting his brother's soul free, Dante combines both halves of the amulet and unleashes the Force Edge's true form: the Devil Sword Sparda.
Despite being under Mundus' control, Vergil (now known as Nelo Angelo) still has enough of his former self to hold onto his half of an amulet provided by their mother, Eva. As Dante battles the minions of Mundus in Devil May Cry, he happens upon the corrupted form of his twin brother, Vergil.
